    SIZES

Please use the measurements below to choose the right collar length for your pet. Measure your dog's neck and select a size that is slightly larger to make sure it won’t be too small. We measure the closing holes from first to last, not the whole length of the collar. For the width of each collar use as reference the pictures that are shown of each model. Some collars have the option of standard and wide width. The differences between these are also shown on the images. Choose a collar that is suitable for your dogs activity and strength for maximum safety. Always check metal buckles and leathers once in a while to make sure they are intact. Leather cream prolongs the life of your leather. Keep always metals away from acids and too much humidity.

    2. Cats

    2.1 Cheshire & Wain

Cheshire & Wain cat collars are available in 2 sizes:

Petite: (approx. 17-22cm) for small breeds (such as Burmese, Siamese, Abyssinian, Cornish & Devon Rex, Singapura etc.) and young or fully grown cats with slim necks.*

Standard:  (approx. 19-25cm inside circumference) for cats of average size.
*If your cat's neck is under 21cms circumference and fully grown we advise you select the Petite size.

Please use the below fitting guide to double check your cat’s measurement.

Wrap a tape measure around your cat's neck allowing room to fit 1-2 fingers between the tape measure and the neck.
Note down the measurement which will be your cat's neck circumference. (If you don't have a tape measure - use a piece of string and a ruler)
If your cat already wears a collar that fits well, you can also take it off and measure the inside circumference when it's done up to find out your cat's neck size.

    How to avoid unnecessary loss
When fitting your cat's collar, make sure it isn't too tight or too loose. There should be room to fit 1-2 fingers between the collar and your cat's neck and be a snug fit. If there is a big enough gap for your cat to slip their paw underneath they may be able to take the collar off. To prevent unnecessary loss please ensure the collar is fitted correctly and that you select the correct size.

Cheshire & Wain collars are not suitable for kittens or cats that weigh less than 2.5kgs. We advise that your cat is at least 4 months old to wear a Cheshire & Wain collar unattended.
